Agility Recovery’s History
Agility Recovery started as the disaster recovery and business continuity division of General Electric in 1989, delivering temporary power, workspace, and technology solutions to keep critical operations running during crises.
In the more than 35 years since, Agility Recovery transitioned through private ownership and evolved into a standalone company. 1989
Founded as a division of General Electric, the organization begins delivering disaster recovery and continuity services, providing temporary infrastructure, office environments, and technology to organizations impacted by major outages and emergencies.
2006
Agility Recovery emerges as a dedicated, independent recovery provider, shaped by lessons learned from major U.S. disasters. The company sharpens its focus on financial institutions, particularly banks and credit unions, offering mobile recovery units and rapid response services designed to meet regulatory and operational demands.
2010
Agility expands nationally, building a scalable recovery network and deepening its expertise in business continuity, compliance, and operational resilience. The company becomes a trusted partner for institutions requiring proven, repeatable recovery capabilities.
2017
Agility’s portfolio expands beyond physical recovery to include planning, testing, and risk management services. This marks Agility’s transition from a recovery vendor to a full lifecycle resilience partner, supporting preparedness, response, and long-term recovery.
